Vesanto High School
Overview
We study in a new school building of Finnish logs. There is plenty of light and a feeling of space and the acoustics of our school building are great.
The unique thing in our school is the atmosphere. In a small high school, we are committed to value the feeling of togetherness.
We have only one school in our municipality and that is why there are different-aged pupils and students in our school’s hallways. Everybody knows each other and it is easy to get friends. Also teachers and the staff, in general, are easy to reach. There are only 10-25 students per course and teachers know all students by name. Teachers have time to help all students during lessons.
In Finland, students get a free school lunch every day. The school lunch in our school is especially good, made from fresh ingredients in our own school kitchen. The lunchroom is beautiful, peaceful, and comfortable.
In Finland, we have all four seasons. There is plenty of snow during the winter, you can go skiing and ice skating. During the summer the weather is warm and you can swim in the lakes. Nature is clean and there are lots of forests nearby. You can pick berries for free and walking in nature is allowed everywhere. Hiking is a common hobby.
If you want to have a close connection to nature and live in a clean and serene environment - our school is a perfect place for you. You are welcome to become part of our community!
